From August 14 to 15, the Guangdong Provincial Fire and Rescue Corps’ 2019 Equipment Competition was held at the Corps’ training base. A total of 440 competitors from 22 corps‑level teams across the province took part in the event.

This equipment‑competition event was divided into two modules: theory and skills. The theoretical round primarily assessed foundational knowledge of equipment management, while the skills competition covered driver‑operational proficiency, equipment‑technician maintenance and upkeep, and firefighter‑operational tasks. A total of 12 skill‑based events were organized, including precision water‑jet operations with aerial ladder fire trucks, shear‑and‑spread maneuvers using hydraulic rescue tools, and emergency fault‑diagnosis and troubleshooting procedures for fire engines. Each event served as a comprehensive test of firefighters’ mastery of their equipment and their real‑world operational capabilities, demonstrating strong relevance and practical applicability.
Each successful rescue mission and every expertly executed operation is the result of firefighters’ relentless learning and exploration, their rigorous training and meticulous钻研, and their seamless coordination with their equipment. Only by mastering the performance and technical specifications of all gear and maintaining a deep understanding of it—while grounding themselves in real‑world scenarios and achieving true “unity between man and machine”—can firefighters maximize their ability to wield their tools, remain unstoppable, and ensure they can step up, deploy effectively, and prevail when it matters most.
After a fiercely contested competition, the Jiangmen Fire Brigade stood out in the individual‑unit positioning device practical skills event, securing an impressive second-place finish.
It is reported that the individual‑level positioning system deployed by the Jiangmen detachment is a device developed by Zhengze Technology, model ZXF‑80. Based on inertial navigation technology and integrating human kinematics, dead‑reckoning, and wireless networking, it offers functions such as motion‑posture recognition (including stationary, walking, running, climbing stairs, and lying down), real-time display of three‑dimensional movement trajectories, 3D trajectory playback, and high‑temperature anomaly alerts. These capabilities better assist on‑site commanders in pinpointing the locations of rescue personnel, thereby enhancing the scientific rigor of field resource allocation.
